About Me:
Hey! My name is Jackie Rausa and I am currently a junior attending Sage Creek High School. I am 17 years old and am very passionate about the things I love to do, such as dance, track & field, traveling, trying new food, and working with kids.
I would describe myself as someone who is strong-minded, driven, and dedicated to the things that truly matter to me. Throughout high school, I have showed my dedication to several different things, whether that is sports or academics.
My love for dance began freshman year, 2017. Since then, dance has had a big impact on my life, as it has made me a happier and more confident person. Being on the Sage Creek Dance Company has showed me my strengths and weaknesses, and taught me to have pride and determination through every aspect of my life. I have created hundreds of memories through dance, working with a team full of amazing and passionate dancers. Dance has taught me leadership and responsibility, which has helped me learn and grow as a person and a leader. Choreographing dances has become one of my favorite things to do and I hope to continue to grow that skill. I plan on continuing dance through every phase of my life, as it is a great way to let loose and express myself in the funnest way possible.
I have had a passion for running ever since elementary school, and it hasn't died out since. I joined the Sage Creek Track & Field team in my sophomore year of high school, on top of making the dance team. Being on the track has taught me pain, patience, and perseverance. My coach, Coach Kung, has helped me push my body to its limits and has helped me grow my love for track all throughout high school.
Aside from extracurriculars and the lessons I have learned through them so far, I have found my love for working with kids, through my job and volunteering events. I work for a party company called Xtreme Fun, which has taught me how to interact with kids and given me so many fun experiences. Because of my job and my countless volunteer hours with kids, I wanted to take over Bobcat Cubs as my Genius Project.
